About

Operator. Builder. Teacher.

I have spent my career learning how work actually gets done, why systems break down, and what helps people perform better.

Mike Hernandez

I’m the founder of MikedOut.

For more than 27 years, I worked in multi-unit convenience-store operations, where results depended on people, processes, training, communication, and consistent execution.

Today, I also teach business and technology, which has reinforced something I learned long ago in operations: a system is only useful if people can understand it and actually use it.

My work brings those experiences together. I help businesses improve processes, transfer knowledge, create practical training and content, build useful digital systems, and apply technology and AI where they solve a real problem.

I also use my own projects as working laboratories. C-Store Center, C-Store Thrive, El Mandil, The Office Prodigy, Johnny Mecuerdo, Resonant Fringe, Build with AI - RGV, and Sink or Swim Publications give me places to build, test, refine, and learn before recommending ideas to others.

The MikedOut Approach

Make the work clearer before making it more complicated.

01

Clear before complicated

Start with the real problem, not the newest tool.

02

Understand the process

Improve the workflow before adding technology.

03

Transfer the knowledge

Document, train, and make the work easier to repeat.

04

Measure what works

Implementation matters only if the result improves.

Make Business Work Better

Useful systems. Practical execution.

I am not interested in adding tools just to make a business look more sophisticated. I am interested in helping people build systems that make the work clearer, more consistent, easier to teach, and easier to improve.
